Neon signs and their glowing beauty has always fascinated me.
I'm known as
"neonaddict" on eBayŽ.
eBayŽ suggests choosing a name for a long happy trading life on eBayŽ. My eBayŽ ID sure
reflects this!
I've been fascinated with neon since I was a little boy. I looked through old pictures my Mother saved from when I was little. It was obvious any signs in the pictures I drew had the letters connected like they were made out of neon. So it's safe to say that neon must have really impressed me as a kid!
As that impressionable youngster, I saw how the signs were majestic to me when working correctly. The beauty, the splendor and awe just never ceased to amaze me. I also saw what happened when tubes broke and signs flickered dimly. It really intrigued me.
I just plain old like lighted things period I guess. My parents can confirm that statement! So, years later once out on my own joining the working ranks, I started to buy lighted signs or neons whenever the chance turned up. Eventually I opened up my own automotive repair shop. Neon signs didn't find me very often. Lighted signs did. I had a small collection of 6 neon signs, two spare transformers and about 8 lighted signs.
Then I finally went to visit eBayŽ in 1999 after hearing so much about it from other people. Need I say more about how finding a new source of collectibles will add to a collection! Like a kid in a candy store, I found all kinds of neons I wanted! So, suddenly the neon part of my sign collection started to grow.
Currently my sign collection mainly centers around that magical glow of glass tubing, cold cathode lighting. Yes, it's commonly known as "NEON", but it is really cold-cathode lighting. Thanks to eBayŽ, I now have a rather large and ever-changing collection of neon and lighted signs.
My current count of just fully working neon signs and neon clocks is up to over 70!
Each neon or lighted sign I have collected was collected for a reason.
- It could be for the colors used in the sign.
- The brand advertized on the sign may be one of my favorites.
- The style or construction may be unique.
- The sign may just be rare or old and working still.
- Sometimes I buy a neon because the price was too low to pass up!
So here on my web site you can see what is in my collection that fully
works.
Of course this means a collector needs room for his or her signs!
That must mean you sell what you own neonaddict!
Of course - Favorites change, money gets tight, things happen.
I'm quite sure you know the age-old saying:
Everything has a price!
Any collectible is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
Sometimes a neon sign collector like myself places a high value on a sign.
Maybe no one else is willing to pay that much.
That usually means the collected neon sign stays where it is.
Then there are times another person may really want something in my collection.
They may be willing to pay my asking value price or even more.
So, my collection changes all the time!
I love my collection, but if you find something you want or have been

Please use the form below to make any neon sign inquiries or ask any general neon sign related questions.
Yes, there's too many bots scrolling the web for addresses to deliver spam.
I avoid that by changing my contact to this simple form.
The form crapped out for some reason.

Thanks for understanding!
I buy broken neon signs locally!
Why? Because I like to restore them to their original glory.
I don't fix broken glass tubes.
I do not have the equipment to do so.
That's why I buy broken signs.
My broken neons sit around here until I find another with the good tubes I need.
Then I can replace the broken tubes with the good used ones.
On a lot of the older signs, the frames may be rusty.
The paint on the backside or between the letters flakes, cracks or peels off.
Depending on the sign, I may strip a sign down to the bare frame and start the restoration
process.
Tedious work, especially repainting the tubes properly, but I enjoy the final results.
Any neon sign I've repaired or restored listed here will state what repairs have been done
to it.
I've always found honesty is the best policy.
I really enjoy helping out fellow neon appreciators and collectors!
